Project Description
Colonial Revival Redesign
This house began as a modest 1960s ranch house. Although technically an addition, only the rear bedroom wing of the original house remains. The style, size and scale of the old house were out of character with the neighborhood, which is full of eclectic 1920s–40s houses. Our design revives the romantic style of classic 1920s houses, using stone veneer, cedar shingles, sweeping rooflines, and artfully placed windows. The interiors include an expansive kitchen, open dining area, and a story-and-a-half-high family room. Upstairs, three bedrooms are nestled under the eaves.
