Doric House, Hunterdon County Historical Society

Chris Pickell can look out his office window to view the restored 1845 Doric House across the street. The project entailed the removal of a 20th century kitchen and two bathrooms from the historic house museum. Pickell Architecture has also designed a new entrance to the adjacent H. E. Deats Memorial Library. This new Main Street entrance has increased the Society’s visibility and accessibility. Interior work has reorganized and decluttered the library interior, and provided an accessible toilet room for staff and patrons.
