Greater Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Pickell Architecture surveyed the property to build the main house and designed where the outbuildings were placed on site. We located the house, driveway, outbuildings, and fences to create a dramatic approach, outdoor spaces, and wonderful views of the buildings, pond, forests, and fields. The 6400 square foot main house was designed to be centered on the 1850 Potts Barn from Stanton, New Jersey as the great room. A West Virginia log cabin was converted to a Sunday room on one end of the main house. A wagon house from New Jersey was relocated to be placed on the estate. Custom design included: kitchen cabinets, bronze railing, built-in shelves and bookcases, stone and wood floors, kitchen garden, and ironwork.
In collaboration with The New Jersey Barn Company.
